BRASS BARRELLED BLUNDERBUSS FITTED WITH A SNAP BAYONET. 14" long octagonal/cannon turned barrel with two deep stamped proof marks and town name "MANCHESTER" engraved on top. 12" l. triangular shaped steel bayonet that folds back and locks in place along the top edge of the barrel. Steel lock with maker's name "ASTON". Goose neck style, flint lock hammer. Brass furniture including butt plate, trigger guard with pineapple finial, ramrod sleeves and escutcheon. The top of the butt plate and trigger guard with extra engraving. Stock with checkered design behind the lock. Overall length 29 1/4". Condition excellent. Circa 1810.
