19TH CENTURY WALKING STICK with a plain, tapered whalebone shaft. Large whale ivory knob carved in the form of a crown knot. Baleen washer where knob joins the shaft. Overall length 32". Condition excellent. Nice age color throughout. No ferrule. Circa 1840. Ex W.W. Bennett Collection, lot 41, that was sold by Richard Bourne in 1966. Good rugged example. From my personal collection.
We are always interested in purchasing nautical antiques. If you are selling one piece or your entire collection we would appreciate hearing from you.
