19TH CENTURY SCRIMSHAW TOOTH WITH POLYCHROME COLORED SCENES ON BOTH SIDES. Front with a young girl in a lovely dress playing with her dog. Above and below her are flowers and leaves. The reverse with a portrait of a female in a long dress, coat and bonnet. One edge with a riband of alternating red and black diamonds. Other edge with a simple tree. Circling the top and bottom are saw tooth designs highlighted with red coloring. Length 6 3/4". Condition excellent. Nice even age color over the entire surface. Overall a very attractive tooth.
