Description
NICELY MADE, 19TH CENTURY, ALL WHALEBONE SNATCH BLOCK. 2 1/8" w. x 5" tall. Prox 1 /34" diameter whalebone sheave. Condition superb. Wonderful age color throughout. Much nicer craftsmanship than typically encountered on this form of block. Circa 1840-50. Comes with a nicely made, oval shaped, hardwood display stand.
